Stones and Repairs
Stone Care & Repair Policy
All stones — including diamonds and precious gems — can loosen or become damaged if exposed to impact, pressure, or external force, even when expertly set.
Such incidents are considered normal wear or accidental damage, not production defects.
We encourage all customers to handle their jewellery with care and to insure valuable pieces.
Repairs and stone replacements can be arranged through our workshop, but these services are not covered under warranty unless a documented production fault is present.
Limitation of Liability During Repairs
During any repair or adjustment — including tightening, resetting, or replacing stones — we treat every piece with the highest level of care.
However, older stones or those previously worked on may contain hidden stress lines or natural weaknesses that can make them fragile during handling.
Bjørg Jewellery cannot be held responsible for stone damage occurring during repair, unless caused by gross negligence.
By submitting a piece for repair, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
We strongly recommend that all valuable jewellery is insured before shipment or repair.
